About the Operators

Steve Byers, Porsche Classic Bend manager, began his Porsche career at Scottsdale Porsche in 1985. His attention to detail helped him succeed as a parts technician until he relocated to Stoddard Porsche of Ohio in 1990. Moving to the West Coast in 1992, he continued to hone his skills as a Porsche parts specialist at Sunset Porsche in Beaverton.

Steve and his wife Nancy moved to Bend in 1996 with their two daughters to enjoy the sunny Central Oregon climate. He started at Carrera Motors in the service department before becoming the after-sales manager for the dealership’s four car lines. Continuing with Kendall Auto Group in 2014, Steve was asked to develop a Porsche Classic department.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys restoring classic Volkswagens and has completed over thirty cars over the years. His 1967 VW Beetle, which he drag races, made the cover of Hot VW’s February 2016 issue. He also enjoys restoring vintage motorcycles.

Mike Jordan, a Porsche technician for 40 years, grew up in Southern California. A graduate of Los Angeles Trade Technical College, he served his apprenticeship under a master Porsche technician at Tommy’s Verkstad in California.

Relocating to the Portland area in 1982, Mike was a Porsche technician at Continental Porsche Audi for 2 years before moving to Sunset Imports where he worked until 1993. He started his own independent repair shop in Lake Oswego, Stuttgart Autotech, which he ran until selling to his brother in 2015.

Mike and his wife Jennifer relocated to Central Oregon and live in Redmond. They have four grown children and enjoy all outdoor activities. In his spare time, Mike enjoys riding off-road motorcycles and tinkering with his 1963 Chevrolet truck.
